I hate how apple makes awesome portable devices and then cripples them with all of their damn lock outs and rules and restrictions, just totally ruin functionality AND ease of actual use, yes i said it their 1984-like control makes the stuff LESS real world usable

I am an iPhone user, so it would be great if the iPad worked for this app.

The B&N Nook Color which is Android based can be set up to do this.

The App is called "DSLR Controller" Yes, you need to root it & to do some tweeks.
But it works on just about any Canon model that has live view.



The iPad clearly has a screen size advantage, but the Nook is lots cheaper.
