Sony vs. Panasonic menu

I sold my Lumix G3 to get an a77 (not received yet). The G3 was excellent in many ways including IQ, touch screen and the articulating screen but I had a chance to use an NEX-3 and I must say the Sony menu system is much better. I've heard people complain about it but to me it seemed much more intuitive. I hope the a77 has a similar system. I quickly learned where most of the important controls and options are whereas the Lumix took me many days and still I kept forgetting where certain functions were.
