Colormunki Photo with Different Software

This was mentioned in the Digital Darkroom forum. But, has anyone tried calibrating their printer with the software described here:
I was wondering how hard it is and whether it was noticeably more accurate.
They use about 2,300 patches which is way more than the program that comes with the Colormunki.
