I was just at his Key West gallery. He uses a matalic paper and does not backlight - only front light with dimmable halogen. He shoots great subjects (which is key), and I believe is just now moving to digital. It is obvious to me that he is a good example of what today's recent high-resolution DSLRs can now match, and in fact, in hands of many many many folks can match his work if printed the same way. It is just not very esoteric anymore, and beutiful.
