Sync speeds of MF cameras are slowwwwwww because their shutter curtains are bigggggggg. They've always used leaf shutter lenses to workaround this and get an effective sync speed of 1/800...

Hell, my Hassy 500 C/M could sync at all speeds up to 1/500th, and that was decades ago. I guess the new stuff isn't as good.

for the OP: Big pixels always have more DR...it's just physics...
