D700 + PocketWizard MiniTT1 + FlexTT5.

I am new to this, but I have some questions about the D700 + SB900.
On short terms I want to buy a PocketWizard MiniTT1 and a FlexTT5.
MiniTT1 on the D700 and the FlexTT5 on the SB900.

1. Is it possible to use the D700 LCD-menu, to set flash output settings such as the channels, mode (iTTL) and flashexposure compensation e.g. -1/3 or -1 etc.

So, is it realy so easy to configure the flashoutput, on/off, compensation if there was a SB900 on the flashhotshoe instead of the MiniTT1?

2. Do I need a PocketWizard AC3 Zonecontroller or are the MiniTT1 and FlexTT5 enough to change all the settings from the D700 LCD-menu.
