Actually, If you look at the pix they mean that the G3 ISO numbers are inflated relative to the G2. Each of the G3 exposures are visibly darker than the matching G2 photo. Yet they were taken with the same f-stop, ISO and shutter speed. However, that does not mean that the G3 does not reduce noise at high ISO levels.
