Yes, I lightened the shadows in all the photos (both FZ150 and Canon 7D) in Lightroom. I find I often have to use negative exposure compensation in situations like this to avoid seriously blowing out the highlights. When I lightened the shadows in these photos the FZ150 revealed significantly more noise on the shaded areas of the faces and arms of the riders than was the case with the 7D. The difference is not so obvious with these relatively small and low resolution images but quite apparent at 100% (and if you wanted to print large).
