I set my exposure by putting a person on the ice and focused on their face, in "M' mode, meter was centered at 1/250, 2.8, 1600 ISO, so the white ice and boards were not a factor. I used those setting thru out the game. It was suggested to do this for the very reason you mentioned, that the ice would throw the true reading of the player/face off. I did raise the shutter speed to 1/320 to help with blur but still had too many soft shots so I will try 6400 to get a higher shutter speed & hopefully a stop or two of Depth of Field

What do you mean by showing value?
