In the future there will certainly be other Canon RC speedlites but even then you will have to upgrade every unit to get the benefits of RC...

I really like the shoe mounted RC only unit - like a SU800 with RC...

This is perhaps the future for the Nikon system but it will be a sad day for me when I have to replace all my speedlites in order to utilize such a system feature $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Great step in the right direction by Canon - hope it will force Nikon's hand...

Can't see how this can't be a positive for Nikon shooters - in time that is
