Possibility of new Sigma 120-400 & 150-500 (or similar) lenses being introduced?
Mar 2, 2012

Very recently here in the UK the 'street price' of both the 120-400 & 150-500 Sigma lenses have fallen back by around £100 each. Has anyone heard any rumours that they will be replaced by update/improved models, or different lenses of similar but not equal focal lengths?

I presently own the 120-400, bought originally as a 'stop gap' while waiting for the updated Nikon 80-400, which has still not appeared, and have been very pleasantly with the image quality. I recently tried a 150-500 and the extra reach is attractive, but changing from the 120-400 to the 150-500 of the same type is not worth the extra cost. However an improved/new model, especially with better optical quality, could be very attractive.
