5D MkII, 7D or 1D MkIV

After all this time, I finally get am getting around to answering this question. I ended up getting a 1D Mk IV, that I use for my event work. The speed and performance of the auto focus along with a 24-70 f2.8 lens is great. In addition, I bought the Wireless File Transmitter (WFT-E2 II A) and it worked great, in fact flawless operation.

On a funny side note, one of my neighbors stopped by and asked me if I would be interested in buying one of her old film cameras. Turns out it was a Pentax K1000 and it came with the 50 mm f/2.0 lens and a small zoom. Score.
