B & W (monochrome) with the P7100

I've been reading the downloaded manual pre-purchase nad I would be grateful if a P7100 owner could confirm/clarify that:

The P7100 shoots in monochrome in PASM modes using "Creative Picture Control" on the "Quick Menu Dial". With this method you can also apply Red, Green Blue and Yellow filters.

The P7100 additionally has a separate monochrome option in the Effects settings on the main mode dial - and this allows control over contrast and grain (only) via the two command dials.

Do you still have custom control over contrast in Creative Picture Control ?
