Swapping my Nikons for an X100?

Just do it! I'm a lifelong Nikon shooter, started with a Nikkormat FTN and D70, D200 and now D700. Since getting the X100 the D700 has been looking at me with sad eyes. It's a completely different shooting experience, much slower. It really makes me think about my photos again. It's also light enough to never stay at home. I've always liked a fixed 35mm lens.

Lastly, the IQ and high ISO performance will be on par or better than your D7000. It looks similar to my D700.
