As others have said, legacy wide angle is tough. If wide angle doesn't matter, fast and cheap usually puts you at a legacy 50mm lens. Everyone made them, so there are lots of them. In fact you can even get a step nicer/faster for still very little money. I had a Canon FD 50mm f1.8 lens, but I had to stop it down to f2.8 for it to sharpen up enough for me. So, I replaced it with a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 for about $50 plus adapter, which was quite sharp when stopped down to f2.
