Wow, that's quite a statement. Have you actually used the Nikon/Canon 2.8s?

As much as I'd love to be able to compare the quality of my NX50-200 (which was a bargain at 67 pounds!) with the Nikon/Canon high enders, I'd be doing so in danger of gross hyperbole. I can't back it up with stats or charts but I've used an old Nikon 80-200 f2.8D (1992-1996) on an ageing D70 body to shoot a friend's wedding and it quality absolutely blew me away. Sharp, sharp, sharp wide open right through the range and beautiful rendering. The best lens for portraits I've ever used. The NX is good for its class but it has nothing on the Nikon. I've never used the 70-200 lenses from Canon/Nikon but I can't imagine they are anything but just as good.

Hello Michael,

this lens is a real performer. The expensive professional 70-200 F2.8 lenses from canon and Nikon are not that much better. Have a look at my last shots here. Carneval shots on Viktualienmarkt Munich.
