Guide me to buy entry level DSLR

Hi,

I am a mechanical engineer interested in photography (of course I am a beginner). and I like to shoot Portrait, Macro and Landscape photography. I have point and shoot camera and now I would like to buy an entry level SLR for my needs. I had a very research in internet and I found Canon 1100D, 550D and Nikon D3100. But, after looking at all these cameras, I am really really confused abt selecting a right camera.

My budget: 500 euro
My opinions:

Canon 1100D: the most liking feature for me is controlling blurred background with CreativeAuto mode. but, it does not auto focus in live view :(.

Canon 550D: I am not okay with price.

Nikon D3100: Not having blurred background control.

first of all I am really confused to select Canon or Nikon. some time I like the colors in Nikon pictures but at the same time i have attraction towards Canon. Please advice me.....

Least two days I am fully thing abt this only even while sleeping... so, pl advice me....
