FZ150: confused AF while filming
Feb 25, 2012

Although the AF on the FZ150 is clearly one of its best points when snapping pics, the focus seems to often be lost when shooting video, and even when it seems to have settled on the correct focus, the AF again starts to vary wildly through its whole range, struggling to re-find the right focus. This happens predominantly when shooting in low light and/or at the telephoto end.

This is very disappointing, and the only workaround I could find is to set the focus to MF (to make sure the focus stays locked once the AF has found a correct choice for it) and then switch back to AF if my target gets further/closer. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and have they found a better workaround (aside from turning Conrtiunous AF off)? Thanks!
