16-35 vs 17-35 vs 24 1.4 @ 24mm f8

I am new to nikon and I just purchased the D800E. I am mostly into landscape photography and I've been working on a book for the past 2 years which contains panoramas of various landscapes shot under a certain subject/theme.

Money is not an issue but weight is as I hike hours sometimes to reach my desired destination. I am kind of lost between these lenses especially that the test from various online reviews have been giving mixed/contradictory results.

I shoot landscapes only between 24-28mm so I was wondering if there is any tests done online (hopefully w/ the D3X) for the same subject shot with these different lenses at 24mm f8.

Also would be interested in hearing the pros opinions on this along w/ examples/comparisons of their work.
