epson rr2880 vs. r 3000

The biggest advantage of the R3000 over the R2880 is the fact that all 9 inks are present in the printer at all times. You don't have to change the black carts any more. However the the black ink line still needs to be purged at the change, but it will no longer waste any other ink for the black change.

In this regard the R3000 is more a 13" 3880 than a direct R2880 replacement. The R2880 still has carts that are attached to the print head like most small printers. The R3000 can use much larger carts because they remain stationary and feed the head by tubes.
