More megapixels going from 12 to 21 is going to increase resolution using a good lens, but going past 30 MP for a FF sensor is going to increase the Diffraction Limited Aperture DLA from F16 to closer to F5.6/8.

'DLA' is a completely bogus concept. There is no such thing for a camera. Diffraction causes MTF to fall off steadily for a given f-number and that falloff does not change as you change the pixel size. Look here - same lens on 5D and 1DsIII

Nowhere can you spot a 'DLA' where the resolution suddenly decreases, it just falls off smoothly. The start of the diffraction falloff is the same f-number for both cameras. Please stop propagating this complete and utter tripe.

Thats just physics

It's not physics, it's nonsense.

and no good for maximum DOF (Landscape , Macro etc) IMO , period.

Diffraction blur at a given DOF is same for any format. Having more pixels just adds less pixellation blur to the diffraction blur.
