It isn't that simple or straight forward.

Saying stuff like this is blurring the truth:

"If image quality is of paramount importance you would go with the Sony. If convenience is more important go with the Olympus."

That is like saying "if image quality is important, go with FF or Medium Format. If convenience is more imprtant go with the Sony."

Its also implying that Olympus owners don't view IQ as highly as Sony owners and that is incorrect. Saying the EM-5 will have worse IQ that the NEX-7 when no production images have been seen might also be a stretch. Sure, the NEX-7 has a larger sensor; but it also has a lot of pixels crammed into that space.

I'll agree that both system has their strengths and weaknesses. But we won't know until BOTH are out what those are.

Advantage of the Olympus
IBIS
Good Jpg Engine
Faster autofocus
Good native lens collection
Weather Sealing (Only with one lens)

Advantages of Sony
Better Sensor (High ISO, Lower noise, Better Dynamic Range)
Shallow depth of field (because of bigger sensor)
Focus Peaking (if you like manual focussing)

Pick your poison. If image quality is of paramount importance you would go with the Sony. If convenience is more important go with the Olympus.
