I use the 100 f/2 quite often. Great lens, with fast AF and good bokeh. It's very much like the 85 f/1.8 but a little longer and costly. Still, 100mm fits into my scheme of lenses better, so for me it was worth it. It is also very usable wide open, unlike Canon's 50 f/1.4 and 1.8. The only complaint I have (for both the 85 and 100) is the rather long close focus distance. Although, since I began shooting cameras with APS-C sized sensors, that is rarely a consideration. But with a full frame camera you can't get in close enough to get a really tight head shot.

I rarely use the macro lens I have, so getting a 100 f/2.8 macro was not on my priority list. I hear it is a very nice lens though.
