I really like the APS-C sensor in the NEX-7. I also like almost everything about its performance. But I never ordered or purchased one.

I agree with what viztyger said.

The lack of IBIS coupled with the lack of lenses really hurts the NEX-7 IMHO. The lack of good lenses almost requires the use of 3rd party or legacy lenses. And since the NEX-7 doesn't have IBIS, then most of the 3rd party lenses won't have any stabilization either.

However the LA-EA2 adapter enables OIS with some Sigma lenses so all is not lost. But that also increases the size of the camera and the amount of stuff you'll need to carry.

That is why I pre-ordered an Olympus OM-D EM-5 (Black) this weekend.
