EP3 - How to identify the correct exposure
Feb 20, 2012

Hi All,

It's me again, the EP3 newbie! I am very much new to learning photography and my way around the Oly EP3.

I am have been reading the recommended text 'Understanding Exposure' in conjunction with my EP3 manual pdf. The author talks about setting the desired Aperture number and shutter speed (If using M) for a scene until the camera indicates a correct exposure - how do you do this on the EP3? What indicates a correct exposure? Is it the histogram?

I have located the exposure compensation by clicking up on the main dial and then scrolling left/right etc, but how do I know when the exposure is "correct". Rotating this dial seems to be hit or miss for at the moment and I can only tell what is correct to my eyes when reviewing on the LCD afer the shot?

Cheers

Blue
