Sigma 50mm f/1.4
I had it since late 2008. I love the colors, bokeh & sharpness. I have had my best shots come from this lens. But when using it professionally, I get a lot OOF shots. The number of keepers is fair bit low compared to my 135L & 70-200f/4IS on my 5D/40D.
My copy focuses dead on, but not all the time – it suffers from focus inconsistency problems.
Who shares the same experience as mine? I simply love the lens to let it go, but have lost confidence using it professionally. Is 50L better? Will 35L be a better alternative to the 50s – manly for full length indoor portraits. Studio & outdoors I use my other 2 lenses. Even when shooting outdoors, I would love using the 50 on location along with 135L.
Your thoughts please.
