For wide things, there is an excellent but somewhat pricey Olympus 12mm f/2. Olympus makes a decent 9-18 f/4-5.6, and there is a very good Panasonic 7-14 f/4. The 12-50 that comes with the E-M5, from what I've seen, is not very good.

For those interested dxomark has recently reviewed the 12mm lens and found it very good:

The OP may want to hold on the current 5d gear for now. At least until he sorts out all his m43 options - especially on the quality zooms area (or the lack of...)
