I agree that LAEA2 is a GREAT purchase if you have an existing collection of alpha lenses. Unfortunately, I don't. I bought the LAEA2 + SAL35F18 combination strictly for purpose of taking low light indoor pictures of family events/gatherings. And you're right in that my subjects aren't consistently on the move. The combination didn't make enough of a different to justify the tradeoffs for my intended use. I just wanted to share that just in case anyone might be thinking about this option for the same purpose. I can also see this combination making perfect sense for other uses.
