d700, has anyone NOT liked it and returned it?

Feeling that I am having trouble with my d700 , its performance is just not cutting it. I am not sure why.. THE settings for focus are many. I love the colors of my d80. Is there anyone that had problems.. I sure dont see many complaints. I am not sure if its me or the camera. I see wonderful stuff from d700 in galleries but at the rate I am going I will put it down and just shoot with my old camera!!! HELP

shot at 1/30th sec. 2.8, iso 320 .. about 50mm.

also on auto. why would my camera not pick a higher iso over the slower shutter speed.. I am confused!!
