Which lens to fill the gap between 10-22 and 70-300L ?

Everyone has lenses they like and use differently and have different levels of expectations and opinions.

My opinion is the 24-70 L is the easy choice for you. I absolutely love mine. Yes, it's bigger and heavier than some lenses, but I've never found that to be a problem. Perhaps my definition of "too big" or "too heavy" are different than most folks, but I'm not a big or particularly strong guy and have no problems. As far as it not having IS, neither does your 10-22 and has that caused a problem for you? If so, then you need to look elsewhere. If not, then what's the problem? Having IS is always nice, but I don't miss it on the 24-70, but I don't do a lot of low light photography of moving subjects. (If the subject is stationary, that's what tripods are for!)
