Which Flash Manual Or E-TTL

I needed a flash because i started shooting events where light is less. Is it possible to shoot with Manual Flash in events. Can i use auto iso with manual flash? will it work?
If i am going for manual which you recommend
yongnuo or Lumipro LP160
