Why would you buy a Fuji camera?

Why?

With the remarkably consistent quality control issues present in every single Fuji camera release why would you even bother with Fujifilm?

I think the answer is because they produce cameras that are quite unique and very innovative, they usually handle very well and are often squarely targeted at the enthusiast photographer.

The problem is, when you have experience with this company (or even one purchase) you quickly learn it is sensible to wait a couple of months after a camera release to see whether the camera will do what it is supposed to do.

With all the moralising over these issues that goes on here it is often hard to see the forest for the trees, after all, some of the fiercest critics of these cameras also appear to be long time contributors on this forum.
There must be something that keeps them here.

I am at a total loss as to why Fuji can't sort out de-centred lenses and dirt/dust issues, droopy lenses, and specular highlights, but one thing is for sure, if they can sort out these seemingly simple manufacturing issues their cameras would represent excellent value for money.

So I think all the people going on and on about the morality of this company need to possibly step back and realise that every entity on this planet has it's strengths and weaknesses, this does not forgive those mistakes or let them off the hook, but perhaps it reveals a less sinister intent.

For those that already know about the issues in buying a Fuji camera on first release and did it anyway, shame on you, you knew the risk and you must accept the consequences.

For those who purchased a Fuji for the first time unaware of these issues, make your frustrations known by returning the camera or sending a complaint to Fuji, nothing will get their attention faster when these issues start costing them money.
