Thanks Panda9 that was a very informative post. So when I read a review of a lens like this:

I would assume that diffraction limitation occurs on the MT50 plot where the slope starts going negative (F4 in this case). Correct?

I'm not sure what effect a 16MP vs a 10MP sensor would have on this as it seems to me that this limitation would be optical (before the transduction).
