Might sell 14-24mm for 16-35mm...thoughts?

I am trying to lighten the load as much as possible. Currently have D700 with D800 on order. I am seriously thinking of selling the 14-24mm 2.8 in favor of the 16-35mm 4.0. The latter is 10oz lighter and a little bit smaller in size. My main lens now is the 24-70mm 2.8 so must consider the overlap in focal length.

I would like your thoughts on the quality of the 16-35mm lens, especially if you have ever had compared it to the 14-24mm.

Any overall and general thoughts on a move such as this would be appreciated.

I also have the 70-200mm 2.8 and 70-300mm 3.5-xx and use the latter far more.
