A while back we had some "wish list" posts and for the FZ150 I suggested two simple firmware changes :

1. Allow naming of the custom settings

2. Allow the user to configure the self-timer shot delay and number of shots. The camera already supports 2/10 second delay and 1/3 shots, why not any other number that works best for the photographer? Adding a definable delay between shots would provide an additional benefit!

Unfortunately, we won't see either on the FZ150. I picked up a wireless intervalometer/remote (Pixel TW-282) to solve #2 for my needs. I recommend a remote over using the self timer anyway as it can help minimize camera shake as you don't need to touch it to set or start the timer. It also allows you to fire the shutter on demand when you're ready.
