Roughly Speaking: Do you want 20 MP or 40 MP in the new 5D?

I'd be fine with the previously rumored 28MP.

That would be right between 20 - 36MP. Hopefully, at this point in sensor know-how, that would provide a good trade off between high resolution and image quality (noise, DR, etc.). Good, or good?

I'm not really buying the idea that a 22MP sensor was designed to provide higher quality video. Afterall, is it a still or video camera? Didn't Canon just release a dedicated cinema cam?

What are you guys hoping for? High MP (36 or above) or lower (24 or below). Personally, 16-24 would work perfectly for me, with focus on DR, ISO, weatherproofing, and AF....
