X10 new sensor or not on new X10's?

Does anyone know whether, die to the White Orb issue on the X10 (hardware issue) whether Fuji have changed the sensor (not in size or anything) but that the X10 getting produced now have a 'fixed' version of the sensor? or is it just the same sensor and want to use firmware to 'reduce' the white orb effect? Surely on a premium compact they should be using a 'new' fixed version of the sensor... if not I would be very disappointed as it would show that they don't actually care about releasing faulty hardware and then try cover it up with firmware.
