Is the Oly 12-50mm Lens any good?

It may not be the most amazing lens technically, but it does look very appealing as a proper 'do anything lens'

• shoot in the rain - yup

• shoot wide angle - yup

• shoot close up - yup

• shoot moderators telephot-y - yup

• shoot video smoothly - yup

• autofocus quickly - yup

• have good enough IQ for general snaps - certainly

Sounds like what a good kit lens should be to me. Ok it isn't going to win any awards for low light or depth of field, but as a go anywhere do pretty much anything lens it looks great
