Your reality yes I agree but definitely not in mine.

But I suppose if I ever took great shots you are saying I would regret shooting in JPEG?

Its OK I dont take great shots my work flow is aimed at making money and uses the format I find the best for the occasion. For the last month that has been mainly RAW most of the time its jpeg.
