Nikon Release Cycle

Hi all,
I'm looking to upgrade my Olympus kit (RIP 4/3), and I'm strongly leaning towards the D7000. I saw it was released in 2010, so I'm wondering what Nikon typically uses as a cycle here. Is it reasonable to expect a 7k followup this year?
