I have just bought 600D (switched from Nikon) and what annoys me is that the meters are dead after about 2 seconds. Then the camera is unresponsive which makes changing aperture/ISO/WB etc through on-body buttons impossible. You have to either enter the LCD Q-menu or press the shutter to activate meters. Is it possible to change the time of meters being active to say 10, 30 secs or whatever just like on any Nikon body? thanks

The delay is 4 secs on my 450D. The meter will stay on for as long as you half press the shutter button plus 4 secs after that. The meter will also stay on if you make adjustments to the aperture or shutter speed. You should get the hang of it after a while.
