I was hoping if there was a way where I can narrow in a lot quicker. Reading through his book, Understanding Flash, isn't helping either given it's exclusively using the SB-900 which DOES have this exposure calculator feature. Pity.

Or you could just use i-TTL-BL and get 99% of your shots perfectly exposed. If you miss one, just add a little Flash Comp.

If you want to do it manually, just set power, zoom and coverage manually... You won´t need more thatn one or 2 shots to get it the way you want it.
