Re: Olympus OM-D E-M5 vs Sony NEX-7 Thoughts?

I always think that any purchase of a system camera should be about the whole system, and not just the camera... cameras come and go, but once you've bought into a system with a few lenses, changing to a new system can be an expensive business... it isn't something most people want to do very often.

So if you really want a fast 35mm (equiv.) go with the Sony, not because the camera is good (though it certainly!) but because that's the only way to get the type of lens you want.

And if you want a really compact ultra wide-angle zoom that takes convenient 52mm filters ditto for the Olympus.

For me the E-M5 would get the nod, not because of the camera (though I do like the camera!) but because the lens system is both generally extensive and gives me certain specific lens choices that particularly suit my photography and that no other system offers.
