This one is taken in normal P mode and shows the difference. The HHS mode uses a far faster shutter speed to freeze the water droplets, but then combines several exposures to get enough light so you end up with the water droplets apearing several times in the image instead of in single long blurs. Doesn't always work though, I've got one where the seagull has two heads cos he twisted his head around 90 degrees between exposures!
