Who cares about the D800 or 1D x or 5D III!

Presumably all these are pro-level bodies but I don’t know of any pro who obsess over the specs like the chatter that’s been on this forum and the Nikon forum. All the pros I know care about lenses and system depth because those things endure while camera bodies are swapped out every 9-18 months.

For what it’s worth I plan to use my DSLR this weekend and the people who are on the fence about getting a D800 but want to wait for the 5D III announcement will spend the weekend scouring the internet for D800 samples or 5D III rumored images & specs. Don't tell them Sony is supposed to have FF body too?

Why can’t all the camera manufacturers coordinate their product announcements we don’t have this back-n-forth nonsense?
