Nikon flexes its muscle?

The new Nikon d800 is one serious piece of kit, it proves that dslr is long from finished if ever, certainly rather humbling!

Impressive camera for sure but does make me now feel that they could, if they wanted to, do much more with mirrorless than the 1 camera? these guys have some serious technology and know-how up their sleeve but they dictate the terms of the market not the buyers, that's what this tells me! Nice position to be in.
