so-called "Flagship" G1X: why doesn't it have...

...these features, that cheaper PowerShots have?

• wifi

• touchscreen navigation and touch shutter

• face identification

• GPS

• ZoomPlus

• 10fps

• 240 fps slow motion video

Granted, these aren't make or break features. You may not want them. You may think they're gimmicks that would be out of place on a "serious" cam. But why is the G-series "Flagship" so often lagging in features? This is not the first time that the latest G-series has been introduced, lacking features that lower level PowerShot cams have. Why? And don't tell me the processor couldn't handle it, or it would cost too much.

And let's not even go into hardware (24mm wide, or f/2.0 lens). I understand that. Just talking features here.

Anyway, Nikon just dropped a mega-bombshell. I hope it cuts into Canon's profits so much that Canon is forced to up their game, across the board. The 5D MarkIII (or 5D X, or what ever they announce this week) should give an indication.
