Nikon Marketing of the D4 and D800: wedding photogs chime in!
Feb 7, 2012
|
So for us Wedding photogs, sounds like they're targeting the D800 to us?
HOW?!
Low light and high FPS=D4.
The D800 is cranking out, albeit probably amazing, 36mpx at 4 FPS with a 10 RAW buffer...
When the bride is tossing the bouquet, coming down the aisle, doing the chicken dance at her reception...you need FPS. Let's not even consider the noise levels, though I'm sure the skin tonality and detail afforded by that MPX level will be inspiring....
BUT they're marketing schpeel states "for the wedding photographer"....
Did they miss their target? Landscape are probably wet in their drawers right now though...
I was shooting with a D3/D700....
