As a former PC user who has now completely migrated to Apple, I would take MacOSX without 5D support over Windows with 5D support. Actually, I've happily found alternate software in situation where I couldn't find a Mac version of something I used on a PC. Also, as I get older, I have less patience for "tinkering" and just want something that works (and works well). MacOSX provides me with that in strides. In addition, the design quality of a Mac is top notch.
One thing I'm happily doing without though. Come to think of it, how's Norton Antivirus treating you?
