E-500 lenses vs E-520 lenses, starter kit question
Feb 4, 2012

Good day all,

I just upgraded my E-500 to an E-520. I bought my E-500 over 4 or 5 years ago with the 2 lenses. I got the E-520 starter kit with the lenses as well but I noticed some differences. The most noticeable difference is in the size and weight, the E-520 lenses are way smaller and lighter than the the E-500 ones. I also noticed that the 40-150mm lens have different "f" rating. The newer lens is f4-5.6 and the older one is f3.5-4.5.

I'm wondering, since I have the option, should I keep the older lenses or the new ones? I'm not sure how much of a difference this will make.

Thanks in advance for your help,
